Everybody has been on lock down clink clink because of COVID 😩. Last year was the craziest year for the entire world (it’s still a lil crazy to be honest)…and with things slowly getting back to normal we decided to take a family vacation. Of course we still washed hands a lot , sanitized if we couldn’t wash, kept those masks on, and stayed out of peoples face 👀. Look I’m not trying to get the “Rona” and no one in my family either.

We decided to go to Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. We had a BLAST. This was everyone’s first time ever going to Tampa so it was new to all of us. The hotel we stayed in was literally 2-3min away from shopping, all kinds of food, and the basics like Walmart, Target, Publix etc. We couldn’t have chose a better hotel. Once we got there we had things planned to do since we got in around noon. The trip down to Tampa drained all of us 😫. We were pooped. We had a good dinner and stayed close to the hotel our first night. That was some good sleep that night lol 😴 We needed it because the next day was park day!

Day 2 was Busch Gardens. Growing up I knew of the park name but never knew much about it. So when we decided to go is when I really looked into what the park had to offer. The day of our park adventures we wanted to make sure we were able to enjoy the park so we left out to make it to the park by opening. We got in early and my poor husband and his patience was going through it y’all 😂. The line he picked to go through was the slowest of all of the lines. An RV came from the back of it’s line and was on the other side of the entrance gate before we even made it to our gate entrance 🤣Then before we got to our gate he switched lanes…that lane was even slower than the one he jumped out of 😂. He was tore up! It was hilarious! We laughed until we got to the gate attendant 😂

We finally made it in! They had shuttles to drive everyone over to the park. We chose to walk and it was a trek but I got my steps in 🤷🏽♀️ As for the park it had a good mixture of rides. They had roller coaster rides, water rides, a few other thrill rides and the kiddie rides. This park also was like a zoo all in one. Some of the animals had their own ride named after them… for instance the cheetah had a roller coaster, which was the first ride we got to. It was fast and had all of the twists and turns. I thought it was so cute how they combined the zoo experience with the rest of the park.
Now just so you know, I didn’t get on any of the crazy roller coaster rides but my husband and oldest got on them. I asked them to score the rides and most of them received a score of an 8 so that’s pretty good. As for the little one and I… we hung out, ate, and waited on the rest of the family. We had dipping dots, funnel cake 👀 and few other things. We lived our best amusement park life while dad and sister rode the big rides😂. By the time we made it over to the kiddie area she was napping and I definitely wasn’t about to wake that baby up though 😂. I did get a chance to ride a few rides with my oldest and lucky us got stuck on one of the water rides for about 20min 🤦🏾♀️. The folks on our ride were hilarious so it wasn’t as bad. We ha ha’d and ke ke’d until they fixed the ride and skedaddled on to the next ride.

Once little bit woke up we got food and chilled out for a while I must say the food was pretty good too. 👍🏾 After food we all got a chance to enjoy a train ride around the entire park. The train went through a safari type area that had giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, rhinos, gazelle, and ostriches. The animals were literally hanging out eating grass out in a huge open savanna looking area as we rode by. Tours through the area in an open back truck to feed the giraffes was also available but with our little one we decided to just do the train but it definitely looked fun. The train ride was very nice. We choo chooed around and through the the entire park. 🚂 My oldest and youngest were both excited but the sweetest thing to see was the youngest pointing at the animals that we normally see on tv or on a flashcard and with excitement yell out what they were. ☺️🦓🦒

This little vacay was also sweet because it was our anniversary weekend. We celebrated 6 years of marriage this year…. side note…never think marriage means everything will be perfect. Marriage is not a fairy tale. You have to work on yourself and with your partner for your marriage. You both change as time passes by (which you should want to evolve and hopefully become better) and your spouse will not be the exact same person they were years ago. You both have to wake up everyday and choose each other and also continue to love on each other as you change with the different chapters of your life. Ok I’m done preaching 😅. So anywho back to the vacay. We had a good food and finished off with dessert for our anniversary… I wanted my favorite, red velvet cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory so we had a dessert date at a different restaurant. 🤤 FYI That’s my absolute favorite dessert!

Overall we had a great relaxing time, we laughed until our stomachs hurt and we ate until we felt, as T would say, “disgusting” 😂 . The next day it was time to pack up and head out! On the way back I started to think about the fun family trips that my family would take when I was a little girl. I just hope our girls remember times like these, laugh about specific things they remember, and cherish them for a long time. Overall Tampa was great family vacation 💜 🐘🚂🦓🦒🏝🍰🥰
Great times and great memories! Love u bae! Oh, that’s low down to put that picture of me sleep on here 😂
