Motivation ✨

I wanted to blog about motivation. Why?….because it’s one thing that I get to use throughout life’s journey, that does not necessarily have to be tangible…but I can use it to push me in my daily life. Motivation is like wood to a blazing fire, gas to an empty car tank, or sunlight & water to a growing plant. It’s what keeps you going. It’s your why! Motivation can have you pumped to complete a race, go to work, write a book, go through with huge plans, or it could help you push through a small basic task. Whatever your motivation helps you get through, whether it’s big or small, I felt like it deserved a post. Motivation is a great way to tap into go mode and get things done.

Now one might ask “where does motivation come from…I mean people motivate me with encouraging words from time to time but I don’t see why you’re making a post about it “🤷🏾‍♀️….Then I would say…think about it; we use motivation all of the time. We use it for big things we use it for small things. Example; You need to complete a project before Friday. Your best friend is having a huge birthday gathering and you do not want to miss the celebration. You complete the project way before Friday because you want to go. Your friend’s birthday celebration was your motivation to get your project done early so that so you could be there. Motivation is kind of a big deal. Why not talk about motivation? It’s interesting how a little bit of it can help us move a mini mountain if we wanted to.

Anything can be motivation. Motivation can come from the people you love, it can come from a vision you have for yourself, or it could be past or present situations that you want to be in or don’t want to be in. It could be a lot of different things. When we tap into that motivation it helps us better align ourselves with a drive to meet an end goal. Motivation is the fuel to that drive and when we begin to work towards our goal, that motivation is usually always somewhere near. Whether it’s a vision or something tangible to remind us to keep going.

What motivates me? My motivation comes from my girls, my husband, my friends, messages that I see…I actually have quite a few things that motivate me. To be honest it depends on what the goal is. The reason why those things motivate me is because my success in completing those goals are connected to my motivation in some way. Whether it’s influence, wanting to be an example, or wanting to make those that motivate me proud.

If you haven’t thought about motivation in your life and who or what motivates you. Figure out something you want to work towards. Then figure out what or who pushes you to keep going when you’re striving towards that goal. Figure out what makes you really excited about making that goal and write it down. Now whenever you think about your goal…you’ll think about your motivation and vice versa. Also one other thing. Use motivation to help you navigate through good and bad! …when things don’t quite go your way, think of it as a delay but not a denial…let that delay motivate you to find another way to what you wish to accomplish. Now go forth and use that motivation. 💜

My motivation for getting up and pushing through is so my kids see me fighting the things that were meant to keep me down but I want them to see how stuff but we can do hard things! God is my motivation bc I want to make him proud of me and let Him know all He does for me and how He believes in me and filled me with a purpose is not in vain! Love this post so much love how you made it make sense! I need to write my motivation down more and having it hanging somewhere!
